any advice on cleaning the interior ? Elbow grease will be used, I've already heated it as hot as it will go for hours to attempt to kill anything bad things in there (there was some very thin mold).

I've seen apple cider/water solution but would like to consider something a bit heavier as long as it's not dangerous (chemicals). Would oven degreaser or similar product be safe ? Maybe something for these types of containers ? I saw pit boss had a cleaner which I would assume is safe. Someone also suggested the Norwex oven/grill cleaner. Supposedly they use no chemicals.

Again, just trying to get it as clean as possible using elbow grease and any great products which may be safe. Thanks!

I use citrus based degreaser/cleaners. I also use wadded up aluminum foil as a tough wiper that won’t damage interior surfaces. I don’t own the Masterbuilt but use this method on my Smoke Vault, Yoder, and other smokers. Works well on grates too.

Spray bottle w/Straight white vinegar. Full strength. Cleans, disinfects, rinse with clean water. Non abrasive, non toxic, evo friendly. If you need to scour, bar keepers friend. Crud on the grill grates, crumpled alum foil.
