Scotch: Current favorite- The Arran (anything by them), Glenmorangie 12yr Lasanta, sherry cask finished. The Balvenie Double Wood, also like Oban 18yr, and The Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso sherry cask finished) among others. Neat please.

If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
Thanks! FWIW, at the current sale price, it's only a few bucks more than the 16" OONI propane model and nearly $200 less than the 16" OONI multi-fuel that can use wood ... so, no pricier than some others, I guess (and I'm going to cling to that thought 😎).
I didn't realize the hopper held 10 pounds of pellets. I imagine that would last quite a while even at the hight temps.
Looking forward to getting a review from you.

UPDATE: It was delivered early Saturday afternoon:
Apparently, "On (or 'at') the porch" delivery instructions to UPS can be somewhat liberally interpreted to mean "I can see your porch from where I dropped it". The oven is a beast ... shipping weight is 99 pounds ... far too large, awkward, and heavy for one mid-70-something person (me) to move safely through the house and out onto the deck alone. Today, I opened the box to check for damage (none noticed) and moved it into the garage until I can find a friendly neighbor (or two) to help out. Still waiting for the stainless steel table/cart that it will reside on so it might be a week or so before it can be put into action. Expect pics and possibly "colorful" language to follow ...

Cool! I love that. I'm tempted to get one as my 6 year old Ooni is getting pretty warped and pinholes are showing the firebox welds. I love all the features that has, and yet at the same time those make me nervous as "more things to go wrong."
Not trying to be negative about your purchase - my point is this:
Once you get a crew to help you set it up, I'd love to know if it's totally dependent on all the electronics, or if it could be used in full manual mode if a power outage or electronics fail, etc.
I think I can answer now. It's a pellet cooker and like all pellet rigs, it depends on electric power and on its electronics. For a power outage, there are battery packs and/or generators. For failed electronics, there is only repair or replace.
Got it - thanks. My Ooni takes pellets, but it's all manual. Not nearly as convenient, though. I'm tempted... I could use the Grilla and keep my Ooni around for a failsafe.

THE PLAN: Tomorrow (4/28), I'll do the initial burn-in (500°Fx45-60 min) in the morning. During the burn-in, I'll check the temp using a Thermoworks square dot, and adjust the Grilla Apha Controller RTD offset as needed. While that's happening, SWMBO will make dough. Later in the afternoon, the first pizza cook will happen. Pics and details to follow ...
