That's the old model. I own one of those and it's great. The rotating stone is a fantastic feature. The product in the video I posted is a new presumably forthcoming model.

If it's cocktail evening everything spins (right Attjack?) ! I love seeing companies making useful improvements. But I have to wonder if it will take some of the joy away from using the peel and spinning it yourself, the craftsmanship that is pizza making, I mean it's not a microwave, pizza making is hands-on. Or was. Hmmm...

It's been a long time since I've had the spins but it certainly feels right when it's a cocktail night. Personally, I still feel like a pizzaiolo after making the dough, stretching the dough, tossing it in the air, making the sauce, building the pizza, and launching it into a blazingly hot oven. I do not feel like I'm missing out by using propane or a spinning stone. In fact, the spinning stone yields even results that I really like.

Very interesting! I like the concept of the spinning stone myself. Less chance I will screw up the pizza, haha. For now I'll keep on plugging away with my SNS Kamado and Lodge CI "stone".

Blackstone has made an official announcement about the pending release of their new standalone pizza oven. There is no official release date yet but they are in the "final testing phase".
