      I have never considered getting one these ovens until now, I could use the Primo to make pizza but it takes a while to get it hot. My wife said no more smokers but this is not a smoker.

        I just found out that Primo makes a pizza cooking attachment so I think I will look into this first.

      As long as the weather holds, I should have pictures of a first test cook this weekend. While I have fallen down the pizza dough rabbit hole on YouTube, my first couple of pies are going to made with frozen dough from my grocery store. They should be fairly high quality as they are branded President's Choice which is the Loblaws family of stores high-quality in-store brand and are apparently made with 00 flour. I do plan on doing some experimenting with various doughs, including those from Vito Iacopelli but I don't want to put in the effort until I get the cooking technique down. I have some Caputo flour and yeast on the way from Amazon, so I'm looking forward to making my own dough soon.

      Haven't even cooked in this thing yet and I'm looking at some mods, man, I'm pathetic. The two I'm most interested in are:
      1. Apparently you can easily replace the pellet fire pot with a propane burner for the Ooni Karu 12" oven. Just takes 2 screws and then you can switch back and forth between pellets and gas.
      2. There is a guy who makes and sells motorized turntables for a number of the Ooni ovens, including the Frya. I'll have to admit, this really intrigues me - OONi Pizza Oven Turn Table or Rotating Plate Fyra Koda Karu UUNi 3 (oonihack.com)
