First, I apologize if this has been covered before, but searches with kbq, vent, baffle in all combinations didn't help.
My KBQ was in storage for well over a year, so I decided to do a deep clean before using again. There was a pretty good thickness of built up on the interior, which the easy-off removed without incident.
Except now with the nice shiny interior, I can see that the baffle openings on the back wall are not uniform. Before, the black soot etc,hid the variation. The gaps range from less than 1/4" to over 1/2", with the deepest baffle is about in the middle.
Was this variation as built? or did mine get deformed with stuff banging around in the box. What depth do you see on your pits?
thanks in advance for any help,
Tony
