I had the Blackstone 36" years ago and eventually left it behind when I moved. A year or two back I bought one from Sam's Club and I like it a ton better than the Blackstone. It has a lid, drawers, shelves, five burners (big), and a grease hole that drains into a foil pan inside a drawer (hidden). It is on wheels but would not be any easier to transport than a full size Weber gasser, so if that is a necessity than this one isn't the right one. I haven't seen much discussion on here about this griddle, but I like it a lot more than the Blackstone - though I admit the newer Blackstones appear to have some design improvements.

Edit: In pasting that link I realized the pictures show a two door cabinet base for this. The one I have has one door on the right side where the propane tank goes, but the left side is made up of two drawers (which I really like). Everything else appears to be the same, though I paid over $100 less.

Edit again: Found a picture of mine.

I've also looked at the 4 burner version of this one. Less stainless, open shelf on the bottom, no cover, but 720 sq in., the same grease system, and half as much money. I've already got one that is portable, so one that would be part of an outdoor kitchen would be ok.

You know how I said I like to get slightly different cookers for the 2 different houses so when someday they are all together I won't have duplicates. I lied. Or at least that's not how it worked out.

Stopped by the store my son manages today to pick up a supply of B&B charcoal for my new charcoal cookers. Also was of course looking at what he had in stock for cookers, since they were right under the charcoal. The same Pit Boss griddle I bought last year was on sale again. Not as good as the price last year, but the list price has also gone up significantly. Up about a $100. So, I bought it. I like the Pit Boss. For a griddle it's semi portable. Legs fold up, the shelves flip over and form a cover, with the bottom shelf nestled on the griddle, below the shelves forming the lid. At least I have one new cooker I already am familiar with.

So, gave my son's store a little boost to the bottom line, and someday he or our son in law can have one of them.
