Scotch: Current favorite- The Arran (anything by them), Glenmorangie 12yr Lasanta, sherry cask finished. The Balvenie Double Wood, also like Oban 18yr, and The Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso sherry cask finished) among others. Neat please.

Arteflame’s Classic 40” is a wood burning griddle or plancha that doubles as a fire bowl with a sculptural beauty rarely seen in the world of outdoor cooking. We tested and reviewed ArtFlame and give it our Silver Medal Award. It’s not for everyone even if the $2,450 price tag is within your budget, but it sure is unique!
Anyone have a full sized Arteflame?
I am close to ordering one
Bottom line for me: When I have it fired up, everyone loves it. Many people can cook many things and it's a very inclusive cooking vessel. However, it's not something I would reach for on a regular basis...takes a bit to get going, takes a LONG time to cool down. Depending on what kind of folks you have around you, it could pose a bit of a hazard as the top remains hot...it's so inviting that folks might just put stuff on it or put their hands or elbows down.
I use charcoal vs. wood to cut down on smoke. The price point on the bigger models might make it a bit prohibitive...but it's certainly fun!
I always thought these would be really fun to use. Sure they are no ideal for everyday use, but for a party or something, I bet they would be a blast to use.
