Cuisinart 28" Two Burner Propane/Gas Griddle at Home Depot $99.00 (normally $229.00)
Too bad I don't need another cooker right now. Looks to be a great deal for someone that does, so I thought I'd pass on the info to the group.
This ad is from Spokane but hopefully it's available everywhere at that price.
The design intern lightly touched the senior designer's arm. "Bob," he said in a slightly hushed and measured tone, "All I'm saying is I think we should rethink this a bit. Some guy who has had too many PBRs while griddling bacon is going to mistake this for his coffee."

Ok boys & girls. The Force is very weak today and it got stomped by a huge tornadic MCS storm that exceeded the limits of my galaxy. I fought it off the best I could, depleting my stockpile of Photon Torpedo's but to no avail. So, with no more reservations or buyers remorse, one is on the way...
This thing landed today and Home Depot was great to notify me when it got to the store (1 day early).
So... I think that this griddle will be "O K" since it's my first one and it won't see a great deal of use (Just the two of us).
I would say that it's worth the $99.00 but I'm really glad that I didn't buy it at the $229.00 price. If I needed a griddle to cook for more than 2 of us, or I planned on keeping it for a long time, or using it a lot, I think that I'd buy a better one. This unit isn't very sturdy and the metal is fairly thin as shown in the first picture below. The dimple shown is from the thumb screw that holds the side shelf in place (and I really didn't tighten it that hard). The cooking surface is nice and heavy. I hope to finish seasoning it tomorrow and do a small test cook. I did get the temp up to 500*+ in the wind today on the factory oil burn off. It has 2 burner controls that control 2 "H style burners" (4 burner tubes, 2 left and 2 right). The unit is foldable so you can take it camping, tailgating, etc but again, not a very sturdy unit. We'll see how it goes after I play with it for awhile. I have a young couple for neighbors that are in need of a portable cooker so this may be the next gift parked in their back yard...
