    Weber Slate???

Does anyone have personal experience with Weber Slate. I know that I saw it used at the Weber headquarters and have heard a lot about it, but obviously long term use will tell the true tale. Huskee's review on the free side is quite glowing! Let me know what y'all think!

I do not, but have been impressed with what I have seen.

I love mine. I started with a Blackstone, but i had a lot of issues trying to keep it seasoned. I then got a Pit Boss Ultimate, which really solved that issue. However, the 2 burner version I got just did not get hot enough and the cart starting rusting. A golf buddy got a Slate and his experience with it convinced me to buy the Slate, the 3 burner version. The griddle itself is very easy to maintain and clean and keep seasoned. The cart is very well built, with lots of storage.

      i highly recommend it.

To sum up my review and my thoughts in a couple sentences- it's well built and well thought out, and yet not overly complicated. It is a winner.

I have only had one griddle, and it's the slate. I should probably take better care of my cookers. but I just don't. However, the Slate has not had a hint of rust and is easy to keep seasoned. I really enjoy using it but wish I used it more.

This cooker was a gift from a brother who wanted to bless my family. I have no fiscal business buying a cooker this nice, but God put it in someone’s heart to get it for me. I am looking forward to keeping my cooking outside this summer instead of putting my oven and stove against my AC!

I see the drain hole. Clarification: drains into what?

You can’t see it in the pic, but it drains into a slide out grease tray which is under the left burner knob. Beneath the drain hole is a permanent piece, which funnels the grease into the slide out grease tray.

            Copy that… I just didn’t see it. Thanks 🙌🏼

I was wondering where you were at with this decision and here we are. Congrats on the purchase, I hope you enjoy the heck out of it.

I have the table top Weber Slate 17 inch (Slate 43cm in UK and Europe) and absolutely love it. Use it predominantly for seafood (scallops and prawns so far), stir fry's and cooking breakfast. Great for vegetables.

Even the small one is very heavy but if you move the plate separately it is relatively portable, sits well on the tailgate of my pick up truck when cooking away from the house / garden.

I modified mine with a quick release Cadac dual canister pick up.

The portable, dual gas cartridge regulator is lightweight and includes the regulator and hose, making it perfect for camping, picnicking and caravanning.

Panhead John That is Costco Sized! I realized that with how much my kids love it (my youngest used to call it ice cream and they fight over the spoon used to serve it...) AND it is used in baked goods, it makes sense to buy crazy huge size.
