    Discgrill find.... First Cook

Got her for $180, barely used. Smooth 50 minute drive through the Pineywoods of east Texas. Only saw 2 deer.

Seller included some bolts with magnets epoxed in to raise the bowl off the burner a little, so the heat isn't so concentrated in the middle. He gave three, the 4th gap I can rig something up. Got plenty metal hanging around.

I looked really hard at one of those things a few years ago, they look like so much fun, but the ones with stands that can survive my level of neglect were WAY too expensive. That's a great find!

We had one of the home made ones in our shop in Perryton. Our hands could turn out some of the best fajitas on that. It will do most things a griddle will do and some things they can’t.

They guy I got it from has a plow blade version on his back deck. They sell for $299+ tax, no way I could pass it up.

That is going to be fun! I remember seeing a Philly cheesesteak recipe posted here and cooked on a similar cooker. Good inspiration.

It looks like it would be great for fried rice, or paella, or something similar.

I like that a lot. Have looked at them for years. How deep can you go with oil? I mean could you fry chicken in that?

So you get a new to you grill and start working weekends.

I decided against the magnetic nuts that came with it. The guy only had 3 and I figured it was just something else to lose.

He said it worked better raised up a little so I just welded some large nuts and lucked out big time getting perfect sized silicone caps for them. Didn't like the potential instability of metal against metal. Touch up paint tomorrow and cook on it this week.
