Have you seen one of these?

My son came carrying this in yesterday and ask me to season it. It’s supposedly an incredible press for every thing from smash burgers to tortillas. The upper section floats on two center pins that let it come down flat instead of hitting at the back first. I have to get it nice and non-stick black before we can try it out. Yeah, they are pretty cheap too.

The Chud Press was designed as the ultimate gas stovetop addition. Made of 3/16" carbon steel, with a self-adjusting top plate and removable stainless steel grease tray; it's perfect for smash burgers, bacon, panini, tortillas, and more. *The Press is shipped directly from our manufacturer and will be shipped separatel

I would love to have one but too expensive. I think the price came down though, I though they were $425 the last time I looked.

Bradley simplified the design of the hinge/floating mechanism so that probably reduced production costs a tad. He commented on it in this vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSy8riKw43U

The son is single and making a good living or I suspect I wouldn’t be looking at it now.

As soon as I can get it seasoned I will post pictures of what we do with it. My first try will be smash burgers.

Ask your son if there is a snake in his boot.

(If he is in any way familiar with Bradley Robinson / Chud's, he'll laugh instantly.)

If his son is there when he seasons it he should yell out "Hey, there's a snake in this Chud press!"

Michael_in_TX He laughed and then had to explain it to me.

So it sits directly on your grill to heat up? That’s some fancy designing going on there! Looking forward to seeing some action photos!

barelfly I’m told it can be used on a grill, a burner, or in an oven. I have one of the small Blackstone flat tops, I think I can lift the top off it and adapt this to fit there very easily.

There was a post earlier this year about this product. Beside making me want a burger, my only real thought was a George Foreman Grill would be a lot less expensive.

Here's Bradley's video (13 minutes) on the original model. The newer ones have just a handful of tweaks, primarily to make it more portable and make it easier to adjust a consistent "press" height.
