Anyone Know What These Are For?

On the side shelves of my Pit Boss griddle, there’s 2 holes on each shelf at one end. Trying to figure out what they’re for. Drain holes in case of spill maybe? 🧐

I would also guess drain holes. But that’s mostly because I am pretty sloppy when I cook and need that sort of thing! 🙄🤣🤷‍♂️

Maybe you can hang a paper towel rack on them or something? Check their site I am sure there are some accessories they would be glad to sell you lol

It comes with a paper towel wire rod, which attaches to one of the legs.

They allow the sweat from the coors light can to drain

The off-brand spatula set I bought came with these S-hooks. You could use hooks to hang tools that have a hole in the handle.

I thought that too at first, but the holes are pretty narrow and too far from the edge of the shelf to use most S hooks. Each shelf also comes with 3 factory attached hooks for hanging utensils, so I’m pretty sure that’s not what the holes are for….🤷

Actually the holes are from the manufacturing plant the plate was hung from hooks for the powder coating process. Notice the thin coating and the bubbles where the hooks hindered the process.

P.S. While you’re at it, go ahead and correct..where from, to “are” from. 😳

I don't know what they are for but I feel that it was quite generous for the Pit Boss folks to throw them in for free. We just bought a patio table and it came with a free umbrella hole, so I know how grateful you must feel right now.

I’m with ya bro! I hate being charged for holes.

Pour a little water on each shelf and see if it drains through those holes. Alternatively and even better, pour a LOT of Curse Lite on them (keep pouring until you've got a definitive answer ... or are out of "beer").

I'm not sure how they knew you would be purchasing this particular griddle but I believe they were added to cause you some confusion.

I’m gonna be generous to Pit Boss and claim that these are used to tie down the shelves when they are folded. That is for when you want to transport the griddle in your F150 (or whatever). Please don’t point out that it is the griddle portion that is be used as “portable” - too obvious!
