I just did a test on my 2 burner, after 10 minutes my hottest spot was 611* [right back side] with most areas in the 525* - 535* range. The lowest reading I got in any one area was near the front of the griddle. 435*. Plenty hot for anything I’ll be doing. Just remember where your hot and cool spots are when cooking.
My thermometer I used is the Maverick LT-04. Important tip here, keep the trigger pulled in for several seconds when testing. I found that if I just give it a quick pull, the temps were lower. After holding it in for 3 or 4 seconds, the temps rise until it reaches the peak temp reading.

Panhead John Always turn the tank off first and let the fuel run out of the hose and burners. The flame will go out after 30 seconds or so. Than turn off the burners.
Your welcome. 😁
