Early onset bitter old man disease leads to MCS

I’m pretty sure I’m getting bitter old man disease about 15-20 years earlier than most sufferers. I blame years of IT Industry stress and that which cannot be called by name here. The recent household transportation woes and just getting back from a vacation with 16 people (the whole in-law family) that ended up mostly spent in a car versus much relaxing has me extra crotchety.

Last night I was trying to wash my woes away with some Old Crothety, err I mean Old Forrester. The result is that I thought it would be a great idea to buy another cooker. I’m not at all sure why or where I’ll even put it, but Woot had the 22” Cuisinart 360 for $169. I’m sure I’m going to get a scolding when it shows up. I cannot figure out why I keep looking at this thing. I think it might be from watching too much STCG and seeing his EVO every video and the similarity.

Edit: Panhead John reminded me with his post below that I should probably share the deal in case anyone else is interested: https://tools.woot.com/offers/cuisin..._cat_tool_9_19

It seems like everyone is coming down with BOMD these days. I'll let you in a little secret, though, us authentic old coots aren't really bitter old men at all, we just like to pretend we are. It's actually a lot of fun and you can get away with a lot more shenanigans. Now get the hell offa my lawn!!!

Kind of sounds like my excuse for buying the Pit Boss griddle yesterday. Shhh! Don’t tell anyone that I was actually in a great mood at the time. 🤫

I haven’t bought anything recently, I was referring to JFrosty’s purchase above.

Jfrosty27 Congratulations. Glad to know I'm not the only one with a Pit Boss griddle. I really like mine. At least the one I've used. I bought a second one for the other house to be used for a church picnic and haven't even started it up yet. Can't be that I've bought an over abundance of cookers lately!

You’re welcome my friend! Don’t worry, when you do your first cook on it, all grumpiness should disappear! Damn man, all these griddle posts lately got me wanting one.

Yeah, Uncle Bob ‘s recent PitBoss thread probably urged me a bit too towards trying another griddle.

If I had seen this deal a month or so ago I probably would have had it instead of the second Pit Boss .

Buying it didn’t make me bitter, bitter led me to drink enough to buy it, lol.

You think YOU have it bad? I just now got off the phone with LSG and my built-in 24X48 adjustable is now ordered!

PS. Yes, I've been MIA for a while. I should be back to regular presence soon. Also, I know at least PJ will hound me that I still owe pictures of the great bathroom renovation now that it's done. And I'll start a convo eventually about this new outdoor kitchen as the plans get more firm. But with the LSG lead time being longest, made sense to start their clock now.

glitchy If I get that one I will. I went just to see what all was out there. It showed Walmart and Lowes as dealers, but they didn’t have any at all in the store. I was hoping to lay eyes on it.

glitchy if you didn't have a griddle in your arsenal already, you will wonder how you got by without one once you get into cooking on that thing.

Nice work on enabling Jim, although you should keep going until PJ posts pics of his new griddle in hand. Don’t want him backing out now.

Hey glitchy, Jim's right. I cooked up a mess of hamburgers and grilled onions just last night for the fam. Simple. Just roll the griddle out and go to it. Love it. You will, too.

My wife said earlier that I was less crabby today than I've been for the past month. Could be because yesterday I had surgery to remove a kidney stone wasn't going to reach the finish line by itself. 4mm x 7mm. Today I can pee without it feeling like a red-hot nail was being shoved where it had no business being. The attack that set this off was two weeks ago, but she thinks it been affecting me for longer than that.

Glad to hear that the kidney stone ordeal is behind you. May you never again have to suffer like that. It must make you look forward to your next pee just for the pain-free fun of it.

Bogy That last sentence is priceless, the things only spouses will say to each other. Glad you’re fixed up and better, but shouldn’t you buy a 360 to compare to your Pit Boss? You can call it a recovery aid. Heck you should get 2 so you can compare at both places
