I use wood pellets instead of wood chips when smoking. Some recipes (last meal ribs) have a specific amount of chips to use. Does anybody know if the amount of smoke generated by pellets is the same as the volume of smoke generated by wood chips. My concern is either under smoking or over smoking my cook.

If listed by weight, no change.
If listed by volume, I would think to reduce the pellets, as they will pack down more efficiently in a volume measurement.
