Visit to Smoker Guru/Bourbon BBQ Supply in Paterson, NJ

Visited yesterday with my wife and made a couple purchases.

Certainly not the most organized shops. But man they have some nice stuff in there! Dangerous place to visit.

Well, I went with SWMBO who stated as we walked in "you're not buying a new smoker today" with a very serious face. So I just looked at the equipment to see what he had. I did buy some Mississippi Grit and Mississippi Grind rubs. On the ride home, SWMBO did ask why I wanted a new smoker and I explained the difference between what I have (a WSM and a couple 22 kettles) and a true stick burner. I think in the not too distant future, she'll say OK. Maybe. If so, I don't know what I'd do.

I am certain that the proprietor has ADHD. I was right at home lookin thru the vid of that place. I first thought it was a mess than got real comfortable after awhile.

There's wrapped trailers outside.
That is the best display under one roof I've seen posted here. Must be a great feeling moseying around that place with some bucks in a satchel.

I love this place!! It's like he got every Platinum and gold medal smoker, and accessory and shoved them all in his shop! Super nice guy as well.

I have yet to make the pilgrimage. Looks good. Do they have hard to find (in NJ) lump for sale?

I did not see any charcoal though I didn’t look for it. Does have some wood chunks and chips. All equipment and some rubs and sauces.

Where does the bourbon come in? I didn't see any

I don’t know. I was going to ask but I got overwhelmed looking at the equipment and trying to visualize a spot for each on my patio and just forgot to ask.
