Have a 7 year old gas Char Broil upright smoker. Has worked very well, but I lose a lot of smoke from around the door closing. Anyone know a good gasket material to try and stop it up?

bbqgaskets.com the self adhesive type, you need to clean off the grease you don't need to clean off the paint. I have had hundreds of inches on my cheap offset for 2 years, still works like a charm

check the gap... regular glue-on oven cord can be too thick for some applications, but it works in a pinch, it's cheap and your local hardware store most likely has it in stock.
