Weber Spirit II E-310 Grease Question

After 22 years on my current Weber, I'm thinking about a replacement instead of another partial "rebuild". I'm looking at the new style Spirit II E-310 three burner model. But I have one question that I haven't found a first hand answer to:
"How well does this firebox design drain the grease in cold weather use?". I ask because this model does away with the pull out bottom above the grease pan (though their more expensive model keeps it). I currently have to scrape out my tray often to keep from getting nasty grease fires under the burners because the grease solidifies before it can make it to the pan. The new model requires you to take out both the racks & the bars to clean out this area, but the shape is different, so maybe it doesn't collect it as bad? I need to know before I buy. There's no way I want to clean this puppy out all the time if everything has to be removed first - especially when it's 0 deg out.

Sorry, I have that grill but live in AZ desert. Can't help but didn't want you to think nobody cared about your question.

I haven’t had to live in Minnesota weather for years and can only relate my experience in milder Winter weather ~ freezing. The slope takes care of the majority but you will on occasion need to go in and scrape. I am a cleanliness first type person but only clean it every fifth or sixth chicken cook as in my case that is all it needs. You can line the bottom with foil too. Access to the deflector over the trap is quite simple and the deflector removes very easily. I also use a small foil pan in the trap itself.

Wish I could give you real world experience but when it hits zero here I don’t cook outside. FireMan is right when he stated that I have turned to a cold weather wimp since moving to Maryland.

Did I do that? That to a big ol’ grizz with kale in his mouth?

I've had a Spirit II E-310 for a year or two. It's OK. The grease pan is easy to remove in all weather. Just keep an eye on it, and when you do you can pull out the *don't know what it's called" and scrape out the ash and grease. That should take care of grease fires. You don't need to remove the flavorizer bars, unless you want to. Everything can be accessed through the door.

I should mention I live in SW Oklahoma. It can get to single digits, but not often. It's likely that we'll have a lot of sub-freezing nights, so grease can solidify. I don't really think that's a particular issue. Wherever you live, you'll need to check your grease levels frequently.
