I have a chance to buy this Genisis grill for 1200.00(wholesale). I have a Genisis gold currently that's good but getting old. I really like the 4 burner setup( & higher BTU's) on the new unit, but I'm concerned with overall quality compared to my existing gasser. Any input to justify the buy besides "gotta have it'?

I have the Genesis II E-410. The one you are showing has a few more goodies. I like the quality of mine quite a bit. I’ve had mine for about a year and a half so can’t speak for longevity but I take care of it better than my car. I have NO worries about it’s quality. And it’s a looker to boot.

The Genesis LX line is being discontinued. We were very disappointed in the performance of the LX model we tested. Weber is rolling out their new, vastly improved, Genesis II v2.0 models. I strongly recommend you pass on the discontinued LX and look at the new Genesis II E-435 with sear burner. We will be testing the 3-burner version soon.

I just purchased the new Genesis II S-335. The build quality is fantastic I think. It was a pleasure assembling it, very well thought out assembly. So far it is a pleasure to use.
