I found a Weber Genesis on one of the facebook OGS websites. The guy wanted to get rid of it for 100 bucks, it looked like it was in decent shape so i took the bite. What a steal! Extremely well kept, and after a nice 30 minute session at 600, followed by a good cleaning, this thing looks and runs like it's brand new! Going to try some burgers out on this bad boy tonight. Sometimes It's nice to have something quick and easy to fire up, instead of worrying about if you have pellets, did you clean the pellet grill after you used it last? Is the aluminum foil cleaned up? etc. This also allows me to sear meat a little better than my GMG.
Did I mention I got this bad boy for 80 bucks, after a little negotiation?!
Scotch: Current favorite- The Arran (anything by them), Glenmorangie 12yr Lasanta, sherry cask finished. The Balvenie Double Wood, also like Oban 18yr, and The Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso sherry cask finished) among others. Neat please.

Right?! I about fainted when I saw the price. I called him within a few minutes of him posting it, he said he posted it a few weeks before hand and no one jumped because he said it needed work. The only issue I saw was that the burner holes were a bit crusty, so I took a wire brush to them, and fired it up afterward and got a perfect flame. Never thought I would own a GMG DB, AND a Weber Genesis. Now just need to get a kettle to complete the ensemble.

Oh BTW your ensemble is never complete. Maybe you don’t understand the meaning of MCS yet. There is no cure. Embrace it. It can make you feel whole again each time you succumb to it. And you will. Just like the rest of us here.
Peace my brother.
And welcome aboard.
Hi, my name is Darrell. I'm an OTR truck driver for over 25 years. During my off time I love doing backyard cooks. I have a 48" Lang Deluxe smoker, Rec-Tec pellet smoker,1 Weber Genesis 330, 1 Weber Performer (blue), 2 Weber kettles (1 black and 1 Copper), 1 26" Weber kettle, a WSM, 8 Maverick Redi Chek thermometers, a PartyQ, 2 SnS, Grill Grates, Cast Iron grates, 1 ThermoPop (orange) and 2 ThermoPens (pink and orange) and planning on adding more cooking accessories. Now I have an Anova sous vide, the Dragon blower and 2 Chef alarms from Thermoworks.
If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
Awesome grill! I almost jumped on a used Weber Summit in the local Craigslist recently that looked similar, but decided against it as it was the old style with burners running side to side (I’ve got a Genesis like that already).

Thanks! This one is side to side as well, but i will never do indirect with it anyway, Thats what the GMG is for. I just needed a high heat sizzler.
I cooked 7 or 8 burgers on it last night, layed them all over the grates, to see if any would turn into charcoal, or be undercooked. I about lost it. Every single one came out perfect. Juicy, medium well. I LOVE this grill!
