Here's a little love and shout out to the Weber Silver A gas grill.....

Best gas grill I have ever purchased (for the price, maintenance, cook and capability). The old Silver A below is about 10 years old. Nothing special, grilling chicken fajitas and flap meat for tacos and a going away party. Flat top and grates are equipment mods. Love ya Silver A!! You're a champ!!

I rebuilt a 2003 Weber Silver B for my son. He loves it! He has made some great ribs on it. I think he uses it 2-3 days a week. Parts for the Silver series are reasonable and plentiful. The cast aluminum body will last forever.

This thread has inspired me to get a griddle for my little Weber gas grill. Hopefully it follows in the Silver A's footsteps.

My first gasser was that one and got me hooked. Never forget when I walked past it and lightly brushed my hand and against the handle. One hospital trip later and a confirmed break of a metacarpal. Treat it carefully, it can bite back!!

I’m still a BIG fan of Weber gassers. They’re engineered for the long haul. Take care of them and get great cooks for a long time. Nice!

Hey that’s my gas grill! I’ve got a Weber Genesis Silver A that was bought by a friend of the family who passed away about 12 years ago, and his widow gave me his 2 year old Genesis. Burners have been replaced once along with the flavorizer bars, and I recently outfitted it with Grillgrates (highly recommended). I was jonesing for a Weber Genesis II 4 burner or 6 burner earlier this year, but once I replaced the stock grates in the old Silver A with Grillgrates I’ve been content.

I echo your post TripleB . I have a Weber Silver B (just 1 more burner control than an "A") that was new in 2002. It always seems to rise to the occasion when needed.

I have a Silver C that I bought back in 2003/4, only thing I've had to replace are the flavorizer bars and the cross ignition tube (this year). Otherwise, just give it a deep clean every spring and works like a charm.
