Need help deciding on model! Weber Genesis II

    Hey All,

I'm new to the forums and am in the market for a new grill. I have narrowed my choices down to either the E-310 or E-410 Weber Genesis II in NG. Is the extra burner really worth the $200 price increase? I have the money for either one but would like some of your opinions on 3-burner vs 4-burner. From what I have researched so far it seems like the 4-burner is the way to go. Any opinions supporting the 3-burner?

I appreciate all the comments and look forward to chatting with you all!

    Mike

I think that depends on how much "real estate" you need..

If the price difference isn't an issue I'd go with the 4 burner.

Better to have more room than you need than not enough.

Unless you never cook for more than 2 or 3 people, go with the 4 burner if it is within your budget. The first time you host a big BBQ, you'll be glad you did. Additionally, whenever you do 2-zone setups, which is an essential technique, you cut your cook surface in half.

                    Welcome aboard.
If you have the space go with the 4 burner. As said above it's better to have more room if you need it and it will be a lot easier for 2 zone cooking. Good luck with your new toy when you get it.

A big thank you to everyone that commented. I appreciate both the welcomes and insight!

I decided to go with the 4-burner in NG configuration. It is supposed to arrive next week which is exciting.

SoCalTim to answer your question, I haven't owned a gas grill for the past 10 years or so. Most of all my grilling has been done on my Weber Kettle which has served me well. I just wanted a new toy to play with and try some new things. My dad grills literally everything and he's inspired me to do the same!

Good choice. For $200 the extra burner will be great to have. One day you will appreciate that 4th burner. In the meantime you have the 3. Or the 2. Or the 1.

Good choice. I would always pick the largest surface I can afford.

                        Welcome from Indiana.

i too believe that if you have the money then buy the extra real estate.
