whats a less $ replacement grill grate for a Weber Summit gold ? Standard replacement grates are well over $100. OEM stainless bars are $130 x 3 = $390 ! Thinking expanded flattened metal. Needs to be 17.5" x 35.75". Someone has done a custom grate, anyone out there?

Once you have tried Grillgrates you don't go back. Their customer service is outstanding. I use them on a Santa Maria grill. I thought I would swap back and forth between the standard grate and Grillgrates. The brand new standard grate I bought at the same time as the Grillgrates hasn't touched the BBQ.

Hi, my name is Darrell. I'm an OTR truck driver for over 25 years. During my off time I love doing backyard cooks. I have a 48" Lang Deluxe smoker, Rec-Tec pellet smoker,1 Weber Genesis 330, 1 Weber Performer (blue), 2 Weber kettles (1 black and 1 Copper), 1 26" Weber kettle, a WSM, 8 Maverick Redi Chek thermometers, a PartyQ, 2 SnS, Grill Grates, Cast Iron grates, 1 ThermoPop (orange) and 2 ThermoPens (pink and orange) and planning on adding more cooking accessories. Now I have an Anova sous vide, the Dragon blower and 2 Chef alarms from Thermoworks.

GrillGrates have a drop in replacement but we too will be close to $175 but your grill will be better than new. Call our office and ask for Edna- she'll make you a deal! 877-380-2527. I would not put expanded metal on there. Also look at webergrillparts.com they do a nice job with aftermarket sets.Originally posted by tbdomenz View Postwhats a less $ replacement grill grate for a Weber Summit gold ? Edna is AWESOME. I called and at first made a mistake on the measurements of my Santa Maria. She thought something was amiss and asked me to measure again. A perfect fit and a perfect employee. There was nowhere when I bought mine to give her the props she deserves.

I wish I could clone Edna- she even takes calls over the weekend and loves talking to customers and people who have questions. I'll make sure Edna hears your praise! Thanks Tbob for being a grrrrrate customer!
