    MCS Strikes Again! Sort of...

So I have a 2-burner Pit Boss Ultimate griddle. I have really appreciated the ceramic cook top - ease of clean-up, no rust. BUT, the 2-burner just does get there for me anymore. Not enough BTU's for good smash burgers, not enough space for a solid hot side and warm side - just not "enough". Then Weber comes out with the Slate and one of my buddies has one, and it is drool time! While not billed as "rust proof", it is "rust resistant", built really well, lots of goodies - and now this fool has just ordered one. It is being delivered Saturday, already assembled (for a small fee).

Just had to have it. Slate™ 30" Rust-Resistant Griddle with extendable side table (weber.com)

My lovely bride went with me to the store, kept shaking her head, but at least no "eye roll".

Sounds familiar. I started out with a 2 burner Blackstone. Not enough real estate. Sold it. Best Buy had a promotion for Pitboss, got a 4 burner ceramic. Grill cleaning sponge with hot water reviewed here a while back works slick.

I thought about the 3-burner Pit Boss, and if Walmart was still selling the Sierra version, I would have been tempted. The Slate’s build quality, the little features are neat and the config of the cart is well done for storage and cooking. Proof is in the pudding I guess.

That's the one I have. I think you will really enjoy it.

Love my 36" griddle way more than I ever thought I would. Thanks PJ.
