Random Google searches suggest that there’s no such thing as recalibrating the built-in Weber genesis lid thermometer, and the only option is to replace it with a new one.
we know that a lid thermometer is not intended to be accurate for actual cooking, but when ours reads 200 degrees when cold, we think it should be tweaked a smidge for more accurate eyeballing from across the room.
so is it a full replacement, or is there a calibration adjustment like there are with non-digital meat thermometers?
