    Weber announced New Products

There are a few including a new gas griddle and what I'm interested in a griddle insert for the Spirt. These are spring releases. I'll see what they look like and $$$$.

That electric grill could be a lifeline for apartment dwellers.

My dad has a partial griddle insert for his Weber gasser. I don’t remember if it’s 1 or two burners, but he enjoys having it. Because it’s just him and my mom, he leaves the insert in at all times. It works well and has a grease channel that feeds into the normal grease area.

Perhaps this is a known item, but just thought I’d pass it along since it’s mentioned.

Will be interested in reading about their griddle on that page though.

I’m a little surprised they haven’t come out with a griddle sooner, but I’m eager to see one after it comes out. I’m wondering what those 2 vertical brackets are for, directly under the lid handle, any ideas?

Looks as if that is how the lid holds onto the back side of the griddle? So probably a lifted lid rather than one that slides backwards and is held in place, and the way they are set up, provides a bit of a higher “grease splatter back splash”??

          Just my thoughts.

          Looks awful small to me.

FireMan Yeah the whole thing, wheels & all, looks small enough to sit on top of a regular sized griddle. Who needs that? You do!

I like the idea of the full size griddle insert it says they will be selling for Weber Genesis and Spirit grills. That could be helpful to a lot of folks.

The one drawback may be grease management, as the photo looks to be just a larger size of the type insert they already had to replace a single grate section. That means mopping up the grease with paper towels, to avoid an overflow.

Was wondering when they would come out with a griddle. I am in the market for a gasser at camp. Intrigued by the full griddle insert option.

I am just glad to see them active. I also hope that there are no issues with these releases. Weber has been an icon for years and the recent news has caused some concerns. Hoping this is a positive.
