Any tips on how to find replacement doors for a Weber Genesis II E-315?

A couple of months ago I decided I needed to re-add a gasser to my arsenal so I started perusing Craigslist and FB Marketplace for a used Weber Genesis. I have a natural gas hookup so that limited the opportunities significantly. Once the holidays and the new year hit I expanded out the search to the big box stores to see if anything was being discounted. So yesterday I was out near our local Lowes and decided to do a quick search and wouldn't you know it I hit pay dirt.

I almost couldn't believe the price tag when I saw it. $150.00!! It was a little scuffed and dirty (floor model that had been outside for most of the year) and it was missing the doors and I'll have to reinstall the control panel (assembled poorly) but all the other parts where there and in great shape and it was natural gas! Even the floor staff couldn't believe it and had to get the store manager to confirm the price.

Now I'm in the process of seeing if I can get replacement doors or not. I already registered it with Weber so my thought process was to try them first to see if I can get doors at a discounted price since it's technically a "new purchase", Failing that I could try somewhere else online but my initial searches have turned up empty so any tips would be appreciated!

Honestly it would be great to get the doors but for the price I got it for I can learn to live without them since it'll cook just the same (I'm more of a function over form guy anyway).

If all else fails, you could make, (or have made), two SS doors from flat sheet stock. 20 gauge would probable be enough. Then pop rivet some hinges on them, and pop rivet to the frame. You could even add handles the same way.

Have you checked eBay? I’d better Weber will help you out though.

One phone call to Weber and the doors and handles are on the way free of charge. Great customer service as always.
