I've been thinking my upgrade path is going to take me to the point where I want a better gas grill someday. I use this Weber Spirit now which I've built into my outdoor kitchen.
I'm thinking I could move it and the cooktop to the cabin and install a 3 or 4 burner gas grill in its place. Any recommendations on what brand of grill I might want? I was looking at the Blaze builts in that are in the $1250-1600 range and would probably stay at or under that range. In fact, I would probably try to find some sweet deal on whatever I was looking for.
Blaze is good stuff. But at that price range a lot of doors open up. I really like my new Napoleon prestige pro 500RSIB. I think the built in lacks the SIB part but keeps the R (side infrared burner and rotisserie). The IR burner is the funk on rye thigh, so you definitely want that thing. Gets to 1200 degrees and is just the best for searing. Does the job so fast that the rest of the steak doesn’t have time to absorb heat. Like rare steak? You want that IR burner. Which you can get with a built in bit it’s extra.
Weber summit also becomes an option. Along with some other really good stuff. Basically for that budget it is hard to lose. It’s all going to be good stuff.
Another cool thing about built in stuff is you can mix and match. You can get that blaze head unit AND whatever IR side burner you want. They will be friends.
Use the force. Let go of your feelings. The answer will become clear. That’s what I did and I think I did well.

I have the Blaze 32" cart model and really like the versatility it has. The IR searing burner works very well also. The only thing I wish it had was a side burner. They do have them for built ins but are spendy.

Not sure of your thoughts on Bull Grills, I have there Bullet grill, 4 burner, all stainless, that is sold in Lowe’s. It’s basically a Bull, just a few differences. The pull out ash cart even has the Bull logo on it. When I purchased it, I had to get the knobs replaced because they were imprinted upside down. I called Bull directly for the replacements. I also had to replace the grates as they warped fairly early, also called Bull directly. Only had to send photos and they shipped both out within a few days.
As for the grill, a 4 burner that you can purchase the various Bull accessories for. Sear station, rotisserie, you name it. I’ve been very happy with it. And it’s in your range, actually would allow for you to make some other purchases.
Attjack I was at Lowe’s Today and didn’t see the brand in the store. Check the inter webs to see if they come up. If you find it and are interested, I can send photos of mine.

Of course, the inaugural cook pic to show some flame. Cooks pretty evenly across the 4 burners. A few warmer spots, which I don’t mind and use to my advantage.
How I have t setup on my patio.
One to show the four burner set up set up along with IR back burner for the rotisserie if installed. I don’t have a roto, have thought about one but not yet. The sear station would go where one of the burners sits with the flavor bar removed. So, can be removed when needed. It is same type of IR burner.
Correct. My side burner is separate, built in. Not a Bull burner either.
Here is a video I found: my model is built after the Bull Angus 4 burner, if you want to look at that. But is about $800-900 more than what mine cost. And basically the same thing.

My opinion, don't do a built in of any sort. When it come time to replace either do to failure or up grade it's generally big dollars and a pain to make everything fit.
Attjack, My experience is pretty limited with built in stuff. When I looked at it a few yeas ago sizes varied quite a bit, so I dropped the idea. Maybe things have changed but I doubt it. My advice to a lot of research on the the subject of sizes.
Even if everyone makes standard sizes, what if in the future you want a bigger or smaller grill than you have?
It's not impossible to change assuming you throw enough dollars at it, so that's up to you. Just something to think about.
Good points. But that's where I am now. I want a bigger better gas grill. And I already "built in" that freestanding gas grill. So when I upgrade I'm considering an actual built in. I'm still brainstorming at this point though.
