Vintage Warm Morning / Broilmaster grill

FireMan -- As requested, here are some photos of my Warm Morning grill. I'm guessing it is 1970s vintage maybe. It was well used when I got it from a former boss in the late 1990s. I've replaced the plastic wheels that shattered after years in the sun and turned a new redwood handle for the lid. As well as the usual replacement every so often of the grates, cast iron burner, and heat shields.

Holy moly macaroni! That's the same grill my parents bought for me to screw around on back in the early to mid 70's. I singed my eyebrows and lashes one day screwing around. I let the gas build up a bit before inserting a strike anywhere kitchen match in the hole. I was pretty lucky I didn't blow the lid off the poor thing. Those things are tougher than a Tonka truck...but I digress. Thank you IowaGirl for sharing! This brings back a lot of memories of cooking/burning a whole bunch of burgers and dogs.

Yeah, I learned early on to always keep the lid open when lighting this grand gal. It's a good idea no matter, but this one can be a little temperamental about lighting up.

Solid. Still going strong with minor nursing.

Nope, she's not a screaming hottie, so it's hard to get a good sear on a steak. But she's never given me the cold shoulder either. She's grilled a lot of chicken, brats, country ribs, and such. We have a comfortable relationship.

That could be as early as 1968 & as late as 1976 by some pics in the "Hall of Fame", broilmaster. Interesting.

That jives with what my boss thought was true about the grill's history. Thanks for the info, FireMan! Good to know.

We had one very similar. Got it for a wedding present in 1981 and sold it on rummage sale in 2002. A good grill for it's time. It paid it's dues.

Nice! I had one like that years ago, made by Jacuzzi at the time. It was fun to cook on, at least when I cooked everything hot and fast.
