Ok, what say you all. I am looking for a gas grill replacement, but not right now. I’m waiting until after hurricane season to see if I still have a roof over my head. But assuming my roof survives this season, it’s going to happen.
i have pretty much zeroed in on a Napoleon Prstige Pro 500RSIB or a Summit S-470. On the summit I like the fold away rotisserie motor and cool propane tank weight fuel gauge thing, but I’m not very keen on the lack of grill lights (I do a lot of night stuff). On the Napoleon I like almost everything, except that I can get the summit for a few hundred less (right now). The blue/red grill lights are a gimmick, but I tend to fall for that stuff. I don’t think I will used the rotisserie that often (I have a Primo XL that can achieve similar results). I’m also not really impressed by the summit "smoker box", which I view as a gimmick with no actual use (as opposed to LED control knob lights that change color).
I’m looking for a "one and done" grill. It’s goimg to cost now, but in theory "save" money in the long run. I’m looking at a 10-15 year service life before replacement parts are needed. And then I will get the replacement parts and rebuild. In theory anyway.
Im sure both are great. But......well you know.
