Hi, thought I would drop a line on here to see if anyone wishes to shed some light on my current gas grill selection process. I've researched, looked at and read reviews on several different grills, blaze 32 (not in my area can't look at), napoleon prestige and saber. I read many reviews on the blaze to have uneven cooking and flareups. The napoleon prestige i can't seem to find that many reviews but the ones I do are extremely positive. The saber looks really cool but the porcelain coated firebox over time concerns me a little bit. Not sure if I should be overly concerned about that or not. So anyhow i have confused myself and if anyone is able to speak from experience or opinion it would really help me out. I apologize if I have posted this in the wrong area. Thanks!

Several guys here with Napoleons, real quality gasser with a great infrared sear zone. You might want to check out the Weber Summit gasser, I've had one for about 5 years and absolutely love it. Don't know about the other two you're looking at but go to the Reviews section and see what's been tested. Here are a couple of interest....

Now I have an Anova sous vide, the Dragon blower and 2 Chef alarms from Thermoworks.

I was in your shoes last year and narrowed it down to the Napoleon and Blaze. I ended up with the Blaze and love it. I wish the rear infrared ran a bit hotter though.
Definitely get the sear burner if you go with Blaze.
Good luck.

I also have a Blaze 32. It is very well made, has 4 independent zones, can be configured many different ways, has rotisserie, but no side burner (wish it had one). It is 304 Stainless steel. It has a very hot searing burner that they say goes into the left slot. It has stainless steel grates but I also purchased a set of customized GrillGrates (have to be careful to get ones the correct size because the GG expand, I had to recut mine for that reason). It also gets very hot (well over 600 F) so you can do pizzas and stuff like that. Got mine from BBQ Guys, great customer service. I was also looking at the Weber and Napoleon. All of them are great units but I chose Blaze because of the SS.

I would chime in, but everyone would "flame" me for my answer. Cough cough Charbroil professional. I like it better than any of my father in law's high end gassers (coyote and napoleon). We also have several webber genesis at work and I think it outperforms them as well. I got it for free through work, and figured eh it will work for a couple years. 2+ years in and it still performs flawlessly. Even flame, never had a flare up, use the black iron sear plate on the side to get a fantastic sear on a steak. I honestly cant think of a thing I would change other than it does not have a rotisserie burner, which I have found a work around. Crap, I chimed in....lemme get out the fire jacket...

Daddio on the Patio the sear burner and roto are on the list to buy. I made a portabello sandwich today that was marinated. When the oil hit it flared but settled right down. I can't get over how even it cooks. Although alittle hotter to the back......I like it cause you can move different things around a bit.

Just to add to the confusion. Check out Tec Grills. All burners are full ceramic and get extremely hot. Drippings vaporize. 10 year warranty and great customer service. I've had mine for about 15 years and never put a cover over it. Industrial strength stainless steel.

I like that the sear station is on the outside of the main grill on the Napoleon. If a sear station is important, this may be your best bet. when you have the sear station on the inside of the grill, you have to leave the lid open while you use it. It also reduces your usable cooking area. Just my thoughts..

Congrats on the new grill. I have the Saber with a side burner and am very pleased with its performance and would recommend it without reservation. That's the thing about all these choices - too much fun and pleasant confusion!
