Has anyone tried the relatively new Profire Prosear indoor gas grill? It may be seen at the following link:http://www.profiregrills.com/portfol...-indoor-grill/. In 1980 I installed an indoor grill that is very similar in size and design - it was a 29" Char-Glo by Waste King (part of Thermador at the time). It uses natural gas and lava rock, and I have a big vent hood above it. I have used the Char-Glo weekly ever since and it has served me well. But the Char-Glo was discontinued ages ago and parts are no longer available. The new Profire might just fit in the brick enclosure in which the Char-Glo now resides. It's quite pricey - about two grand - but it is infrared and this video sure makes it look appealing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IbUfxasV5wo. Comments greatly appreciated. It is a fairly uncommon item so online reviews are basically nonexistent.
We haven't tested the indoor, but ProFire is a Modern Home Products company. MHP has an excellent reputation. Good ventilation is critical for an indoor grill. Sounds like you have that covered.
