My son has a friend with a Kenmore Elite grill.
Anyone familiar with these?
She is not sure if itβs working
Are parts available for this?
It looks to be a high end SS gaser.
They are asking if it is worth fixing.
I am throwing this out to you all as I dive into it myself.
Thanks for any input.
As far as gas valves and burners more than likely they are standard parts that can be found or substituted. Try some research on line for cross over part numbers. There are suppliers that have these part numbers, I found parts for an older air conditioner by a cross over listing on line.
I have a 1940 s radio that I wanted to install new capacitors for safety reasons. I found the Philco schematic and a listing of all the part numbers and values on line for free.
If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
I see parts for Kenmore grills at Grillparts.com and other sites. May need to know the grill model #, but it looks like stuff like ignitors, burner tubes and flavorizer bars are available.
I rehabbed my 2002 Genesis with some new parts a few years ago and gave it to one of my kids. It was well worth the $100 or so I spent to get it back in good order. Much much cheaper than a new quality grill.
