Beyond the Asian stir fry dishes, with and without noodles, as well as the deep fry stuff, if you like to sauce your pasta dishes properly it's useful for that as well. Prepare the sauce in the wok, boil the pasta separately until aldente then move pasta from the water with tongs or spider into the sauce for tossing. Any starchy pasta water that comes along for the ride will help enrichen the sauce.
I mostly stir and deep fry in mine but I have made scrambled eggs in it a few times. I also have a bamboo steamer that I will set on top to steam Asian buns and dumplings.
Oooh. Tater chips. My wife loves tatter chips. I see you only use a fairly small amount of oil too. What kind of oil, I usually use peanut oil for all my frying needs, and about what temp?
Well, I did today. I actually made some years ago that turned out well, but I just winged it. I heated up some oil and used a potato peeler to slice the potato right into the hot oil. I was happy with the results.

I have an electric wok that I use as a deep fryer...I have a gas stove and I would rather keep large amounts of hot oil away from there, seen a few too many kitchen fires from spilled oil on a stove.
