Needed a grill for our snow bird site. I love my weber stainless at our home. Thing has been rock solid performer for well over a decade. It wasn't cheap when I bought it, and price is a lot worse now.
Went back and forth on several different units, go cheap, knowing parts would need to be replaced in 2-3 years, or spend a bunch of money on another weber.
kind of went to a compromise, not quite weber, not quite junk
Bought it sight unseen, and it was delivered by truck to the house. Link to the unit at the bottom of the page.
Some of the advantages over the Weber
Took me about 2.5 hours to assemble. Parts, including fasteners, were extremely well identified. I did snap the cover over the side burner ignighter. I'll have to get that replaced, but that was my assembly issue. It is definitely a solid well constructed unit.
Biggest issue, in oven mode, it's about 50F higher than the setting. I'll contact them to see if there's an adjustment screw somewhere. I'm getting the knob temporarily marked so my wife can use the oven mode. Not sure if high ambient temps (115F) effect the temperature controls, I'd think not.
