I recently picked this NXR Gas Grill up from Costco for $899.00. A quick review if anyone else is thinking about it. I liked this because of the warming trays and ice box attached. It also comes complete with 2 storage drawers a searing station, rotisserie and side burner.
1st the BAD! The wheels do not roll or swivel very good. It is a big heavy grill and the wheels just don't seem to work very good. When rolled onto a slightly unleveled surface the cabinet flexes a little causing the doors to not line up straight. I am going to put on different wheels and set it on a flat wooden base or add angle supports on the bottom to solve these problems.
OK so the heat was a little uneven however GrillGrates helped solve this problem.
The warming drawers work great and I use mine to keep steaks, hamburgers and hotdogs warm while cooking more.
The ice chest kept meat nice and cool while waiting to be put on the grill. Also kept a few beers nice and cold while waiting to get those steaks on. This is more of a convenience thing I just don't want to have to keep going inside to grab stuff from the refrigerator and I don't need to break out the 60 quart cooler from the garage.
The rotisserie works well and the other day I did a whole chicken that turned out great even with a cold 25 MPH wind blowing.
The side burner is a little hard to ignite but I found that shutting the lid halfway it ignites just fine.
I have never cooked a steak on a searing station but after smoking a steak last week I reverse seared it and my oh my what a great job this did.
All the controls work very well and I like the slide out tank holder. It also has a slide out drip tray to make clean up easier.
Over all I will give this 4 out of 5 stars.
