It looks like the Napoleon and the Broil King IR sear side burners can also be used for normal cooking, so I think I’ve narrowed it down to those two. About the same price. Pros and cons for either?

Saw the Broil King Regal today in the flesh. Seems nice, but I thought the doors were a bit flimsy. Trying to see if I can find a Napoleon to look at.

Today I saw some Napoleons. Impressive. I think they have the Broil Kings beat. The Prestige is nice and the Prestige Pro is even nicer. A few more features but the build quality seems even more sturdy than the Prestige. Now I just have to decide if it’s worth the extra coin.

No personal experience with either but massive amounts of time struggling with the same decision. Between the two I think Napoleon is better. Prestige vs Prestige Pro is a tough call. It’s a pretty big premium and some of the additional features I personally probably wouldn’t use.

my Napoleon is 10 years old now and still going strong. I’ve replaced a few parts along the way, but I guess that’s to be expected with any manufacturer. Most parts were easy to get, a few were difficult probably due to Covid. The fact that they still make the same model makes me believe that parts should be available for another 10 years. I would buy this one again

Throwing this out there to hijack the thread :-)

I read through Max's reviews this morning. I have a 15 year old Genesis which is still running great but I'd like to have a bit more in the sear and features (rotisserie) arena to compliment my charcoal grill and smoker.

Bull Grills and Saber definitely got my attention. I am a little concerned (have been for 3-4 years) about buyer's remorse with buying a Summit and then they drop a redesign. I hear great things, but then lots of complaints about water intrusion and rust. I've read Broil King's are hard to keep at a low temp.

Napoleon's look awesome but I read several places that the grates are a MF to clean.

Im in the same boat as OP, looking to upgrade but not sure which way to go.

If you are looking for a gasser Weber is still hard to beat in my opinion.

Excellent choice. I really like mine. One note of caution: the black stenciled words and symbols on the front of the grill where the burner nobs are will rub off if you use a degreaser to clean that area. Ask me how I know…

My new grill arrived yesterday. (Napoleon Prestige Pro 500 natural gas.) Still have to hook up the gas and get it situated. Won't get to cook on it for a couple of weeks when we get moved into the new house.

Really nice. It would kill me to have to wait to cook on it though. Hang in there!
