    Outdoor Kitchen Grill Head Help

I am starting to plan my outdoor kitchen and would like to buy a nice built-in grill head. Because of AmazingRibs’ ratings & reviews and other internet research I am trying to decide between the Bull Angus w/Rotisserie ($1777), a Cal Flame P4 32-inch 4-Burner ($1469) or an AOG L-Series 30-inch ($1884). All of these grills sound like they are what I am looking for so I am having trouble deciding which one will bring me the most satisfaction and verticality for years to come.

I currently have a 15year old Weber Genesis w/Grill Grates that I am happy with but want the sleekness of a drop-in since I am investing in the outdoor kitchen. I would hate to be less satisfied with my new built-in than I was with my old Genesis. $2000 is the top of my budget for the grill head and I am open to other grills if I missed something.

All the grills you mention are very good. Others to consider in your price range are Blaze, Beef Eater and Delta Heat. This is a decision only you can make. Go to the dealer showrooms and get your hands on these grills. Although $2000 should get you a quality grill, it won't get you everything you can possibly imagine. As with any purchase, you'll have to decide which features are most important to you.

LOL! Thanks Max, I understand that this is a decision that I have to make but maybe with more description of my thought process can help with some of the feedback on this post. I have been getting to show rooms when I can and have been making notes. I will give the Blaze and others another look on line and at a dealership once I find one.
Since I do not want to break my kitchen budget on a grill head right out of the gate it is important to me to purchase a stable base in which I can build on, something that has good temperature control, burner durability and even heating because I will mainly be grilling on it since I smoke on my Weber Kettle w/SnS. I thought I wanted an AOG but it is getting mixed reviews on other sights (amazon & bbqguys) regarding even heating despite the U-burners. ??? That brought me to the P4 and the Angus; they both have more BTUs and seem offer more accessories out of box like a rotisserie and burner. I also like the accessories catalog Cal Flam offers which would give me the option to add functionality other than a IR burner in the future.

I am about to finish my outdoor kitchen. Been working on it for over a year now. I went with the Blaze 34 inch grill head. Very nice. Easy to clean. Heats fast and even. Also got the Blaze side burner to match. A 16 inch burner with a 35K btu outer and a 25K inner burner. Heated a 2 gallon pot of water to a boil in a reasonable time. I am on a salt water bay and the grill has been in the salt air for over six months with no sign of surface rust.

Welcome to the Pit Woodarmj. I only have Weber kettles and a Big Green Egg, so I'm no help, except to say best of luck with your decision.

                Woodarmj ...

My son just bought this grill for his patio remodel project that is under construction now. I've never heard of this brand but my son said he did lots of looking around before he bought.

It seems like a nice setup to me and its in the $1,400 price range.
