Greetings! I've got a Prestige Pro 825 and mostly love it, but am looking for grates for the sear burners that hold less heat than the thick stock ones--I'm an "even brown" sear guy, not a grill-mark fan. Konro/Yakitori-style grates would be ideal, I think, and get me closer to the results I get with the cold-grate method on my Weber kettle. Anybody know where to find ones that are the right size, or already solved this a different way?

Welcome to The Pit.
Have you thought about Grillgrates? They have one side for grill marks and the other side is flat for a complete sear.

That’s what I have on my Napoleon 500 Pro - half GGs, and the other half the regular Napoleon grate. I still use the sear burner when I want a good sear/car, but the GGs do a great job of the kind of sear you get in a hot pan using the flat side.

Thanks--it's good to be here! I did briefly consider Grillgrates, but figured the ceramic sear burners would be my best option for steaks, since I've got them. They do sear really well--the grates just hold too much heat, and I end up with more char in the grill marks than I want. Maybe I'm doing it wrong and should reconsider.
