CharBroil 2011 4 Burner TEC Infra-red grill. Need emitter plates

I have a 2011 CharBroil propane 4 Burner TEC Infra-red grill (Model # 463268407). It has two TEC burners with ceramic glass emitter plates and and two standard burners. The glass TEC Infra-red emitter plates are broken and I have not been able to find replacements. The CharBroil part number of the plates is 80006944 (G508-0012-01).

The plates are red cooktop ceramic glass 7 7/8 inches (200mm) by 15 1/16 inches (400mm) 4mm thick.

I talked to CharBroil and they don't have any emitter plates in their old inventory. I also have not been able to find any old inventory on the internet. My local glass shops will not cut new plates for me.

Can anyone help me find a source for new plates? I like the grill and the TEC feature but it won't work without new emitter plates.

My search results were basically the same as yours. There are ceramic glass custom cutters available online. I went looking for places that cut for things like fireplaces, stoves, etc…
One example is this one but with a little more searching you should find others

Total Hearth offers high-quality hearth products, parts, and accessories, including stoves, fireplaces, ceramic glass, and replacement parts shipping.

Thanks for all the help Donw, MBMorgan, and Carolyn. I tried grillpartsreplacement.com and tecgrillstore.com with no luck. grillpartsreplacement.com doesn't have the glass plates and tecgrilllstore.com has glass plates but none in the correct size. Neither has the option for custom cut plates.

I looked at total-hearth.com and they have only amber glass which may be OK but I continued my search.

I found onedayglass.com and they will custom cut ceramic glass plates for me. They are black instead of red but I'm going to give them a try.

I'm still interested in a supplier if anyone know of a source.

Thanks again Click image for larger version

Too bad we couldn't help, but at least you found something that might work.
I like the idea of the solid emitter plate because it will eliminate flare-ups.

What I liked and disliked about my little Char-Broil Infrared was the emitter plates did a very good job of keeping the flames down, but the small perforations clogged easily and the channels for the grates were a difficult to clean.

Let us know how it works out, and thanks for letting us know that you found a custom source.

          Carolyn,
I wondered about the newer infrared grills with the small holes in the emitter plates. Now I have my answer. Thanks.

I'm expecting to receive my new plates in about 2 weeks so you won't hear from me for a bit. I'll let you know how they work.

The plates were flat with rows of tiny, holes, and the grill grates were hollow, rounded, individual pieces in a frame. I had to go clean between those arched pieces, and they were kind of deep. I think I ran a Brillo pad between them. They were open underneath, so I ran a tool in there to clean them out. It was kind of tedious if you are a person who likes clean grates and plates. I don't know if the perforated plates needed to be unclogged, but I poked them with a toothpick. 🤦‍♀️

Have you tried Schott Glass, the company who made those plates?

Thanks Max Good. I didn't know who made the plates originally. If the plates I ordered don't work out, I'll contact Schott Glass.

My ceramic glass emitter plates from onedayglass.com came in Friday. They are a perfect fit. I had to provide a drawing with the dimensions but that was all. They were very easy to work with.

              Thanks for all your help!!
