Score??? Bear Mountain BBQ Pellets have been praised on this channel.
Thought I would give them a try at this price.
Went to the Chef's Store on SE 82nd in Clackamas, OR.

40lbs for $18.09. Mesquite.

That's a good price...I paid $14.99 for a 20lb bag of Bear Mountain Gourmet Blend at Tractor Supply this morning...

I have only used Bear Mountain or Royal Oak Charcoal Pellets...

I have used the Kirkland brand pellets from Costco exclusively since they came out. They work perfectly in my Recteq. I don’t notice them burning any faster than other brands I have used. I haven’t tried Bear Mountain. But at $12.99/40 lbs, the Kirkland can’t be beat IMO. 🤷‍♂️

Perfect pellet will differ between some brands of cookers but generally I focus on a balance of price/flavor/btu/ash production. When on sale I don't mind Bear Mountain, I do prefer it over lumberjack. I just always keep going back to the orange bag of Smokehouse at Sams club.
