Apparently, they are rebranded or custom ordered Pit Boss pellets.

I used to use Pit Boss pellets but they jammed twice. No more pit boss for me.

Anything Costco brands as Kirkland I’ve found to be good stuff!

If 160 pounds of these hadn’t unexpectedly shown up with my smoker.

That's a good deal. Not that I use pellets, but I shopped for them when I had my eye on a Grilla OG a few years back, and the next best deal I had found was the $19.99 40# bag of B&B Championship Blend at Academy, which I understand to be rebranded BBQ'rs Delight pellets.

I’ve been using the Costco pellets for the last year and don’t buy anything else. Can’t beat the value.

Sams club Smokehouse used to be 40lbs for 10ish its 12 or 14 now, anything less than a buck a pound for decent if not amazing pellets is a steal

I have used these pellets for a while. No issues at all.

Looks like I may have to join one of those places just don't need bulk items

I joined Costco mainly just for their steaks and other meat……and they also carry Charmin toilet paper with the “wider” sheets. 😁 Once I started going there though, I found other things I could buy.

Ditto on Costco for the meat. Prime brisket, pork belly, and tri-tip for starters.

I joined Costco after joining the pit... the enablers here raved about the meat prices / selection. They weren't completely wrong 🤩
I've added bulk paper products, and a few other items, to my normal purchases to make the membership fee worthwhile

Yeah, sure. My wife was at Costco this morning. This afternoon I saw this thread. Ah well, she’d probably have trouble wrangling 40 lb bags of pellets and I’m not allowed to lift anything close to that heavy right now.

I used Knotty Wood last year and liked my results. Just have to burn through some Jealous Devil and some Matt Pittman flavored Traeger pellets. I hope they taste like real Matt Pittman. ;-)

                As I said subjective...
One thing about those tests, the didn't use same wood for all the different manufacturers.
I suspect if they were all Hickory pellets, the results would have been different.
They used Knotty Wood Plum. None of the others were plum.

Just wanted to discuss that video at more length than a comment would allow. I don't have an hour to watch the whole thing, so I skipped to the conclusions. Stuff I found interesting:
1- The Stickburn guys like the Knotty Wood Plum best, but apparently, the twig burners did not care for it. Suggests it might be a more aggressive smoke flavor. As I said, I used Knotty Wood for most of last year, as I could get them through Home Depot (not actually at Home Depot... so, still not solving the local pickup option). I blend the almond with the plum, under the same idea as using hickory and cherry. I've used some plum wood in the OJB, and, a lot like cherry, it's a nice smoke but a really pronounced smoke ring.
2- Interesting that the traeger performed well with the pellet heads, but also that they got them direct from manufacturer, rather than from Costco. So, maybe my quest to find quality pellets locally is dumb.
3- Fully agree about the perception of smoke flavor and the proximity to the cooking on the smoker. With the Grilla, you get periodic huge bursts of smoke when it swings, and if I take a couple of those when checking temps, my perception of smoke flavor drops to almost nothing.
4- Interesting to see the service perspective it.

I've used a lot of different pellets over time. BBQers Delight and Knotty are probably my favorite. Is it scientific? No. It's more like art, it's what I like when I use it.

                Thanks for your input.
I used to buy Pit Boss pellets at Walmart, and those were the ones with which I had problems.
According to the "BBQ Experts", the best flavor comes with thin-light-blue smoke. With Traeger pellets that is what I get from their signature pellets. I was thinking of trying Costco pellets due to the price, $13/40lbs.
It has been a few years (4-5) since I started BBQ as a hobby.
