I usually stick to Lumberjack pellets but saw some B&B on sale at Academy last week. Used them today on some ribs and was disappointed in them. I didn't get as much smoke as LJs give me, but twice it started smoking like it does during startup, with massive amounts of gray smoke that went on for 3-4 minutes.
My smoker usually hold temp within 2-3 degrees but B&B gave me several 35-45 degree swings in temp.
I'll just mix a few of the B&Bs in with my LJs on several cooks and get rid of them that way.
I had good luck with the B&B pellets in my Grid Iron. It's over 2 hours of driving to get them so I've just been rollin' with Pit Boss from the local wolly world.
