Hi - anyone know if the fitting on a forklift propane tank / fuel cell is the same as the type we use on fuel for BBQ gassers? Filled the same? If so, why don't we all have one? I've just found a bunch listed cheap. Maybe the certification date system is different?

The propane tank thing doesn't bother me as much as candlelit dinners in the woods!! You might be surprised, or not, at how many people do things like that. I made a pretty good living cleaning up after them...
The fitting is different. The forklift tank has different thread size and a different check valve inside the fitting. It is designed to be a liquid propane draw from the tank. Grill or camper bottles sit upright for vapor draw from the tank.
