    Found These at Lowes

100% biomass fire starters. 72 pieces. I think they were something like $7.50. They work really well. I use one for small fire, and two for larger fire in the Primo Kamado.

Damn. I just bought 4 packs of the Weber Cubes. But than again one can never have enough fire starters. Soooooo. 🤔

I like the looks of those. I bought some of those that come attached to each other, and I hate them.

Yeah that was why I got these. They weren’t attached. They light easily and burn clean.

Ive had those before and found i had to squirt a little alcohol gel on them to get them going. Possible mine got damp or something but they definitely werent spark them with a lighter easy. That aside they are great

I used my kitchen torch to light them! 😃

I use a similar looking product by the brand Melt, from Amazon, but their price just skyrocketed. Those ones too started out in the $7 range but are now $26. I really like these type of starters myself.

That is insane on the melts. I guess I am using up my box and finding another brand.

STEbbq It is. I'm hoping it's just a one-off temporary thing. A couple of years ago the $5 box of Weber cubes shot up to 10 bucks on Amazon for several months, so I hope this might be something similar but not holding my breath.

I'm actually going to be in a place that has a Lowe's tomorrow. I'll have to see if they have them there.

I’ll have to go find these…I use the Weber cubes, but those paraffin cubes are a mess sometimes with how they break apart and such. Thanks for sharing!

I love those too, but yeah they can be crumby and messy. I love them because they don't get wet, they can always be used.

I always take all of them out of their packaging and keep them in a separate lidded container. Makes it easy to grab them and the little crumbs just kind of fall to the bottom so there isn't much mess.

I have used those before and they work great. Good price too!

Yep....bought my first Melt pack at $14.44 in May of last year. They are now $32 for the same 160-starter pack.

That melt price increase is nuts. Maybe I need to flip my unopened box and buy another brand or two with the profits.

These are my go to for chimney lighting. There was a period of time when Lowes was out of stock, so the last time I saw them I bought all 5 bags they had on hand.
I still look for more any time I'm at Lowes, which is not often

In the interim, I had tried the wax cubes (either Kingsford or Weber, I forget which). Those things are gross. As soon as I opened the package, I got a whiff of a really strong chemical smell. I tossed the whole box unused.

I’m not a fan of the wax cubes either, tumbleweeds work great for me.

Have you tried the Rutland fire starter squares. I’ve never had to use more than one to start my kamado. There are 144 of them in a box and don’t take up much space. I just checked on line. You can get them for 20 dollars and change, thats not bad for that many.

Never heard of that brand. I only use two of these for a hot fire because I am too impatient to wait for one to get it going. 😬
