I used to use weber briquettes but i cant get them anywhere locally now. I usually just use Kingsford but im getting tired of it for longer cooks. The below is what i can get locally:
Royal Oak Charcoal briquettes
Cowboy charcoal oak and hickory hardwood charcoal
cowboy charcoal lump
Komodo joe big block lump
kingsford long burn
Any recommendations? 95% of cooking done in weber kettle with SnS
I am going to do some tests with some Fogo Premium to see if I like it or not in my kettle. I still have about 35 bags of Weber from the sale last fall so I am good there. And a whole bunch of Kingsford. I have tried lump in the past but want to use it a bit more to see if I like it and see how it does on longer cooks.
Really interested to see how you like the Fogo, I've been thinking about it myself but I can't get over the price (though if its as good as they claim I may take the plunge...)
I did one very small cook (some horribly thin steaks) and it worked great. Burned hot, low ash, lit fairly quickly, and the Premium had mostly pieces that were about briquette size. Some were bigger, some were smaller but very few pieces that were too small so far.
I am doing a tri-tip on Thursday so I will get a better idea if they can hold the heat for 45-60 minutes or so while I reverse sear.
mountainsmoker - sorry but I don’t know. I just found that Weber still makes them and sells them ... both online and apparently through local retailers.
If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.

Grant I am in the same boat as you in regards to liking Weber but no longer having it available locally.
I can only comment on the Royal Oak, as I have gone through a lot of that. I get 5-6 hours on a load of that in the SNS, compared to 7-8 for KBB and 10-12 for Weber. I only use the Royal Oak for stuff like rib cooks, and not overnight.
Check Home Depot.
Not any use to you but my local HD up here still stocks Weber Briquettes.
Had a skid of them last weekend, then quite possibly they're selling off what they still have.
