I wasn't exactly looking to buy charcoal, but this popped up on my Facebook marketplace feed. I seem to remember folks really liking this Charcoal. What can you tell me about it? Is it a good price? From what I can gather, it's cheaper than retail....

Well first of all that sure is cheap, I'd buy it for that reason alone. But really, Chef's Select, food service grade, not for resale? Who the heck are they kidding. Like there's this sort of special charcoal out there that only professionals can come by to cook food that can only be served by professional cooks in a restaurant. Right.

I've heard wonderful things about this particular brand of charcoal. RO Chef's Select. A lot of people over at BBQ Brethren love the stuff, both for comp and home use. WSM, PBC, PK Grills, etc. Seems to burn fine in them all.
I just ordered five 40-lb bags. Can't wait to try it.
