    Charcoal Ash Use?

Before I throw away probably 5lbs or more of collected ash from my small metal trah can.... is there any use at all from ash?

I've heard it's good for your garden.

Only if it needs it or you're shooting for a specific ph.

Mine just goes in the bag in the bucket for when I do a puppy poop patrol.

If it's lump charcoal ash it's a good fertilizer.

If it is charcoal ash, I pitch it straight to the trash. If it's lump ash, In the yard somewhere it will go. Usually under a tree.

Have been throwing the ash from my fireplace out for years. Nevers does any good as far as I can tell. Only good use I know for it is tossing in a long drop or covering cat poop.

Nobody lives behind me. It’s a common area for the community. So nobody notices the ash, it isn’t like I’m dumping a ton or anything.

Either way, it’s all good. As long as the ash bucket / wet dry vac is empty, everything else is just minor details

I save my wood ash for spreading on my icy sidewalks in front of the house in the winter. Also have some in the back of the vehicles in case you need a little extra traction. Works great! Don't know if charcoal ash would work the same way it's a pretty fine ash.

With that, a shovel, and a pea you could catch an elefant.

              1. Dig a large hole.
              2. Spread the ash at the bottom.
              3. Put a pea on the very edge of the hole.
              4. When the elefant comes to take a pea kick it in the ash hole.

              I apologize for that.

Very similar to catching a Polar Bear.
