Anyone Familiar with Charwood?

I spotted this at a local hardware store and considered purchasing it, but at $20 for a 20 pound box it was pricey, nearly as costly as Kamado Joe lump, which I REALLY like.

Pretty sure I used a different brand a few years back. It was good. Worth trying out.

Funny, I was lookin at it (Cost-per-Grillin) as a function of BTUs produced/price, not lbs used.

Yers is th Final Cost, mine is but a fuel calculation utilized to arrive there!

I’ve noticed that no matter what I use (brands of briqs), the cost per heat is about the same for non sale prices. The difference is the cheaper stuff has more ash. On some cookers that’s an issue and in others not.

I saw a YouTube video where one chimney was used for five separate cooks. Choke it out and reuse. I’ll pick up a box and see what happens. B
