I just finished my second bag of Weber charcoal this week. I like it a lot and definitely prefer it over KBB. I'll be opening my 3rd (and last, for now) bag of Weber for my next cook. Fortunately, since it's a really nice value at $12 and that price isn't a one week sale, I don't need to purchase more than a couple at a time.
I'm a new kettle owner (previously was running a gasser and a pellet grill, now the kettle and a pellet grill) and I grabbed a bag of Weber Charcoal for my first cooks. It was on sale at Lowes, so I literally stood there with my phone and figured price/lb of everything they had. Turned out Weber was the cheapest. It burned hot and long, and since I bought the kettle primarily for high heat cooking - I was pretty happy with it.
